Cancer is often curable when detected early.

It can strike anyone, regardless of age or sex.

Because many cancers develop quietly, the disease is sometimes called a “silent killer.” Symptoms in the early stages are frequently mild or painless.

If you notice unusual lumps, persistent discharges, unexplained discoloration on your skin, or pain that comes and goes, do not ignore them. Such signs can be misleading and may cause people to assume nothing is wrong.

Where possible, go for a yearly health check. Regular screening greatly increases the chances of detecting cancer early, when treatment is most effective.
